About

Barely any maintenance some weeks, just top offs and a water change when I remember. The anthias and chromis school around the rock while the watchman gobies dig their usual holes. Acro and the hammer are both growing which feels like a win since I had no idea what I was doing back in December

update

Dealing with a pretty annoying algae outbreak right now, kind of a brownish green film coating the glass and some rock every couple days no matter how much I scrape it. Doing water changes and cut back on lighting hours but it's not really budging yet. Little frustrating not going to lie, thought I was past the rough patch already at two months in

Note

first fish!

Added my first fish today, went with the yellow watchman goby. Been staring at him for an hour already, he keeps digging under one rock and popping back out. Trying to think of a name for him, was thinking Gobi but that feels too easy. He's shy right now but I read they come out of their shell once settled in. Any name ideas?

JJenny JacksonQuestion

Anthias are looking settled in. How's the acropora coloring up under that light?

Tank owner replied

Still mostly a base brown/green honestly, tips are just barely starting to show a little more color. Waiting it out isnt really my strong suit on this one lol but I know acro coloring takes time under new lighting

Anthias look great against that rock, how long did it take them to settle in and eat regularly?

SSantiago PhamQuestion

Lyretail anthias looking really settled in there, nice full color on him. How many are you running in that 10, just the one?

That hammer is opening up huge for a 10g. Flow must be dialed in nicely

diffuser inline or just dropped in the tank... curious how you're running it in something this small

Tank owner replied

Just dropped in for now, didnt want to mess with running it inline in a tank this small. Seems to be doing fine just sitting in the sump area near the return flow

how's the flat nano+ handling depth for that tank? curious if you get any shadowing on the acro with such a small footprint

Tank owner replied

So far no real shadowing, the acro is up on the higher rock so it gets pretty direct light most of the day. Only spot that gets a little dim is right down near the sand but nothing is planted down there anyway so not worried about it yet
