Terms of Service

Last updated: September 15, 2026

These terms describe the rules for using TankJournal, a community for sharing aquarium profiles, build journals, and aquarium information. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

Your account

Provide accurate account information, keep access to your email and sign-in credentials secure, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create. By submitting content, you give TankJournal permission to store, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the service, including displaying public tank profiles and community posts. Upload only material you own or have permission to share, and respect the privacy and rights of others.

Community rules

Do not publish unlawful content, harassment, threats, spam, impersonation, or material that infringes another person's rights. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service, or collect private account information. Treat other members respectfully and practice responsible aquarium care.

Moderation

TankJournal may hide or remove content and restrict accounts that violate these terms or threaten the community or service. Moderation does not mean every contribution has been reviewed or verified.

Aquarium and product information

Community advice and catalog details may be incomplete or inaccurate. Check compatibility, care requirements, and manufacturer instructions before making decisions about livestock or equipment. Catalog inclusion is not an endorsement, an offer for sale, or a guarantee of availability. Third-party brands and images belong to their respective owners.

Service availability

The service is provided as available. Features may change, and interruptions or data loss can occur. Keep your own copies of important photos and records. To the extent permitted by applicable law, TankJournal does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. These terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy and changes

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. We may revise these terms as the service develops; the date above identifies the latest revision.
