new filter, ouch
Swapped in the Oase BioMaster Thermo 250... Wallet is crying but flow through the scape feels so much better now. Worth it I think.

Just a small planted rimless with driftwood and hairgrass up front... Crystal reds all over the wood and neons holding in the current from the Oase. Sword's the tallest thing in there now. Simple, kind of chaotic, works for me.

Nothing major, just noticed the moss finally attaching properly to the wood instead of floating around when I rinse the filter. Small win.

Tank looks nice and full. How often are you trimming the hairgrass at this point
The hygrophila pinnatifida is looking really full, no CO2 too. What's your fert routine on this one?
No CO2 here, just root tabs in the stratum plus a light dose of liquid ferts weekly... Pinnatifida seems happy enough without the fuss
How long has this scape been running? The hairgrass looks really settled in already.
Only a few months in honestly... Started end of 2025. Hairgrass took its sweet time but it's finally sending out runners on its own now
no CO2 and still got hairgrass and hygro looking good, nice
Crystal reds breeding well in with the hairgrass? Mine never seem to multiply that fast.
What's your light schedule on that one? Driftwood-heavy layouts like this always make me wonder about par at the substrate for the hairgrass.
