About

Upgraded from a little tank that never really worked out (bad shape, worse light, plants just melted). This one's got the twinstar and an inkbird keeping temp steady, so no more guessing. Chili rasboras dart around the christmas moss and the hygrophila pinnatifida finally took off after sulking for a while. Blue bolt shrimp and nerites handle cleanup duty. Amazon swords are filling out the back, anubias tucked on the driftwood.

Note

the hygrophila took off

Pinnatifida has honestly gone nuts the last month or two, way bushier than I expected and throwing out those reddish leaves under the light. Rest of the tank's looking close to how I pictured it, sword's finally got some size to it too. Shrimp are all over the moss these days.

Note

small tweak

Things are filling in, carpet's mostly closed up now with just a couple gaps left. Moved the anubias off a bare spot of driftwood to a shadier corner since it was bleaching a bit under the twinstar, seems happier already.

what are you feeding the chili rasbora, just curious since mine are picky eaters

Tank owner replied

Mine aren't too fussy tbh, just doing small pinches of crushed up flake food and some micro pellets. Haven't tried anything fancy yet, maybe frozen baby brine later on to see if that gets a better reaction.

How are the chili rasbora doing with the horned nerites in there, they ever bother each other or just ignore each other completely

Chili rasboras in a year-old grown in tank sounds like the dream honestly. Any issues with the moss or hygrophila shading them out at all?

Year grown in and it shows. Chili rasboras look tiny against that scape, nice
