Doesn't need much from me most weeks, just top offs and checking the Eheim isn't clogged. Tang cruises the open rock work while the anthias and firefish stay up top. Favia and chalice are both puffing out nicely these days
Swapped in the Eheim compact circulation pump this week and it was way more of a pain than it should have been, had to redo the mounting bracket twice because it kept slipping on the glass. Flow feels a lot better now though, corals are swaying more than they were with just the canister return. Worth the hassle but man did it test me for an afternoon
Work has been eating my whole week so the tank basically just ran itself, quick top off and a glance at the corals and thats about it. Nothing new to report, everybody looks fine and the anthias are still doing their thing at feeding time. Some weeks are just like that I guess

The chalice and favia colors look great next to each other - how close together do you keep them so they don't sting each other?
Did you fight through an algae phase getting this stable or was it smooth from the start
Definitely fought through some algae early on, had a rough patch with brownish film on the glass and rock for a while. Cut back lighting and kept up with water changes and it finally calmed down, wasnt smooth at all honestly
Curious what you're running for the anthias... Frozen mysis daily or do they take flake too?
Not a contest but that firefish would probably love it either way, how long did the favia take to open up fully
Took a few weeks honestly, it stayed pretty closed up the first week or two after I added it. Now its opened up nicely and the firefish hangs out near it a lot actually
