the chili rasboras are the ones i actually sit and watch, darting through the vals and ducking near the buce every time i walk by. blue bolt shrimp are doing their own thing across the substrate, and the corys root around in front like they own the place. it's a 10g so things stay tight, but there's room enough that nobody's bothering the endlers. rotala's finally pushing new growth, ramshorns keep multiplying whether i want them to or not.

quiet one
nothing to report really, just sat and watched the corys sift through the substrate for a while tonight. shrimp were out grazing on the buce, endlers doing their usual chasing each other around the sword. tank's basically at the point where i don't need to do much besides top off and feed, which feels strange after all the fiddling early on.

Note
algae again
getting a decent film of algae on the glass and some on the anubias leaves and honestly it's annoying me more than it should. cut back the photoperiod a bit and upped the WC frequency to see if that helps. ramshorns are having a great time with it at least, so someone's happy. just frustrating when everything else looked like it was finally settling in.
endlers and chili rasbora mixing ok in there or does anything get picked on
Tank owner replied
no picking at all, they mostly ignore each other. endlers stick more mid tank and the chilis hover around the buce and vals. only chasing i see is endlers doing endler things to each other.
Corys look happy in there, love bronze corys in a planted setup like this. Is the vallisneria melting at all under the twinstar or holding up fine?
Tank owner replied
holding up fine so far, no melt. lost a leaf or two early on but that was probably just old growth from transport. twinstar seems to be enough for it, sends up new shoots pretty regular.
That carpet in a 10 gallon is no joke, dry start or straight flood?
Tank owner replied
no carpet here really, just vals and sword filling in. but for that i did a dry start, ran it a few weeks before flooding. helped the roots grab on before shrimp and corys started digging around.
