Betta's fins under that dragon stone ledge get me every time. Blue Bolts (24 of them) cleaning up after him nonstop.

Added the betta today, bag's floating right now to temp match. Keep checking on him every 10 min, probably annoying him at this point. Water's 78F, ammonia reading 0 so figured it was safe enough. Vallisneria still real sparse but he seems fine swimming around it.
10 gallons for a betta plus that shrimp colony is a fun little world. How has the AquaClear 70 been on flow, did you have to baffle it for the betta

Yeah baffled it right away, just used a bit of sponge over the output. Straight out of the box it was way too much current for a betta this size tank. Now it's pretty gentle, vals barely sways
The blue bolts holding up ok with a betta in there? Mine would've gone straight for them

So far so good, he mostly ignores them. They stick to the dragon stone crevices and only really come out when lights dim. Lost count but started with like 6-7 and haven't noticed any missing yet (could be wrong though, hard to count with all the rockwork)
