Quiet week, mostly just watched the tetras do their thing and the corys sift through the sand. Tank's looking close to done, still a little less dense in spots but not far off now.

The rummynose are the reason this tank exists, nine of them schooling tight along the driftwood most of the day. Corys work the sand behind them. Moss and rotala fill in around the roots, nothing dramatic, just a calm 15g.

Hit a bit of a hair/green spot algae outbreak on the leaves and glass, so cut the photoperiod back and did a short blackout. Plants are fuller now, carpet mostly filled in with a few gaps still. Hoping the light change knocks it back.

where'd you source the rummynose, lfs or shipped in
Lfs, they had a nice tight group in stock so grabbed the whole bunch at once.
No tannins in mine so can't say, but the rummynose schooling in there looks good
Rummynose schooling nice and tight in that one. Any of the corys ever try to breed or is it just the tetras doing their thing?
No breeding, just the tetras schooling. Corys mostly just sift the sand and chase each other around, no eggs or anything like that.
where'd you source that driftwood piece, the shape fits the nano scale really well
Local lfs actually, just dug through their driftwood bin for a while till I found one with the right angles.
Rummynose looking sharp against that christmas moss. What's the footprint on this one, reads deeper than 15 gallons somehow.
Rummynose looking tight schooling in there. How's the christmas moss holding up, mine always gets stringy.
Moss is still pretty compact so far, just trim the odd stray strand. Keeping flow decent on it seems to help, mine hasn't gone stringy yet.
Second scape looking good. How do you keep the sand from mixing with the substrate under it?
No real trick, sand layer is thick enough that I don't disturb it much and the corys don't dig deep. Just careful with maintenance around the substrate line.
