Quiet week, mostly just watched the tetras do their thing and the corys sift through the sand. Tank's looking close to done, still a little less dense in spots but not far off now.

Hit a bit of a hair/green spot algae outbreak on the leaves and glass, so cut the photoperiod back and did a short blackout. Plants are fuller now, carpet mostly filled in with a few gaps still. Hoping the light change knocks it back.

Ghost feeding daily and dosed some bottled bacteria to help push the cycle along. No fish in yet, just watching ammonia and nitrite. Nothing exciting to look at but this part matters.
Filled it up and got the filter running. Water's still a bit hazy from the sand, plants are all tiny and sparse right now so you can see basically all the substrate. Moss is thin, rotala just a few stems. No fish yet, letting it settle.
Spent most of the afternoon leveling the stand before anything else, small bubble level was off by a hair on one side so shimmed it. Hardscape is dry placed for now, no water yet, just getting the driftwood angles right before I commit to a layout.
