About

Someone in my house asked why I need another tank when I already had two, valid question, no good answer. This one ended up being the fussiest scape I've done, mostly because the corydoras dig through everything and undo whatever the plants were trying to do overnight. Celestial pearl danios are the real draw though, tiny and constantly doing something. Endlers just breed without asking anyone. Crystal red shrimp graze the moss and sword leaves, easy to lose track of how many there are now. Rotala's the one plant I actually trim on purpose.

Tank's looking good these days, finally feels grown in.

Swapped the heater out today, went with the Fluval E200 since my old one felt like it was cycling on and off too much. Install was more of a pain than I thought, had to redo some of the hardscape wedged around it to get the new one to sit right without blocking flow. Took probably 40 minutes longer than it should have, kept knocking a rock loose every time I adjusted the cord. Fish didn't seem bothered at all, just kept doing their thing while I fumbled around in there.

How are the corys and CPDs sharing that 10 gallon, feels tight for both but sounds like it's working out?

Tank owner replied

That's actually a different tank of mine, not this 20 gallon cube. This one's just the rasboras, rili shrimp and nerites for livestock right now, no corys or CPDs in here.

Second scape already? The corydoras + celestial pearl danio combo sounds nice in a 10 gallon... Did you have any issues with the danios being too active for such a small footprint?

What's your soil under the rotala? Mine stunts too until it's been in a few months, seems to need time to leach out before it takes off.
