day 170
Noticed the coralline is actually spreading onto the glass now, wasn't expecting that this soon. Chromis school looks good, rock's not looking bare anymore at all.

Tranquil Meadow was a joke name at first, tank looked anything but calm during the diatom mess. Kept it anyway. Chromis school around the top of the rock now, five of them, everything else is still just bare frags waiting on the rest of the rock to fill in.

Coral's coming along on a couple frags but one of them just isn't doing anything, hasn't grown or opened up right since I placed it. Might be flow, might be placement, not sure yet. Rest of the rock is starting to get some color which is nice to see.

Yellow tang in a 55 is bold, curious how it's doing long term in that footprint. Tank looks stable though.
No yellow tang in this 55, just running a small chromis school right now. Footprint's staying fish-light for a while.
Chromis are such an easy add to a tank like this... Are you planning on more fish or keeping it minimal for now
No tang here, might've mixed it up with another tank. Keeping it minimal for now, chromis and coral while I mess with flow.
No carpet in a saltwater tank haha, you mean the chromis school? Still a fair question, dry start or flood on the rock?
Yeah the chromis school, no carpet here haha. Was a dry start back in august, flooded after the rock sat bare for a while.
Biweekly changes on a tang tank feels brave, has he outgrown that footprint yet or is he still cruising happy?
No tang in here, just chromis. Nothing to outgrow yet, still early days with coral placement.
Clean setup - just the chromis in there so far, or is more stock coming before the tang goes in?
Just the chromis for now. Figuring out coral placement before I add anything else, no tang planned for this tank.
Yellow tang in a 55 is bigger than I'd have guessed room for. What are you feeding the chromis, flake or something frozen
Biweekly changes on a tang tank seems low... Water stays stable that way?
There's no tang in this one, just the chromis so far. No water changes to report on that front yet, still pretty new.
