Rio Ridge got its name from the seiryu-ish arch the rock settled into once it finally filled in, kind of looks like a little canyon wall if you squint. Fluval 307 and the Eheim 600 keep things moving across it, Inkbird holding steady at 78. The chromis stick close to the rock most days, noses out from the crevices, and the clownfish claimed a corner and don't budge from it. Coralline's slowly taking over the browner patches.

algae phase
Hit a rough patch with hair algae and some green spot on the glass, sand's got brown diatom patches too. Cut the photoperiod down for a few days to try to knock it back before doing anything drastic. Rock's mostly filled in at this point so it's annoying to see it covered in fuzz instead of coralline. Not panicking yet, just adjusting the lights and keeping up with water changes.

first fish day
Added a small group of blue green chromis today, bag was floating at the surface for a bit before I let them out. They shot straight for the rockwork and haven't really come out since, just a couple noses peeking out from the crevices. Coralline is starting to show up on the rock which is nice to see finally.
Not really my area (all freshwater over here) but curious if the chromis school together or mostly ignore each other.

They mostly stick together, actually. Loose little cloud hovering over one section of rock, kind of drift as a unit when something spooks them. Not tight schooling like you'd see with freshwater tetras but they don't scatter off on their own either.
