About

Moss and a couple sword clumps do most of the work here, nothing carved or fancy, just let it fill in on its own. Endlers and CPDs school around it now, jade shrimp pick through the moss most evenings. Grown in a lot since those bare-substrate days.

Note

finally swapped it

Swapped the temp controller today, the old one kept drifting a degree or two and setting off my paranoia every time I glanced at the display. New inkbird box and packaging still sitting on the floor by the stand, haven't cleaned that up yet. Tank's basically full grown at this point so didn't want temp swings messing with the shrimp.

Note

quiet week

Nothing much to report, just topped off evaporation and watched the shrimp pick through the moss for a bit. Tank's just doing its normal thing, no issues, no WC even this week.

No rock question here but that cave stack looks great for the endlers. How many endlers you running in there?

Noah White profile photoNoah WhiteQuestion

Sand substrate with endlers is a nice combo. Do you vacuum it much or just let the shrimp handle the detritus?

BBao FosterQuestion

the tannin tint looks nice with that scape, is that from the wood or are you dosing leaves for the shrimp?

Nora Perez profile photoNora PerezQuestion

How often are you feeding the endlers? Mine breed like crazy if I feed too much, curious what schedule you're running

Noah White profile photoNoah WhiteQuestion

Curious about your light schedule for that one, running it long enough to keep the amazon sword happy without pushing algae on the sand?

MMarcus ReedQuestion

Curious what light schedule you're running on that one, endlers colors look sharp under it

Tank owner replied

Nothing fancy, just running the stock light on a plug timer, about 7-8 hours a day. No fancy schedule, just on and off.
