trim day
Did a water change and trimmed back the rotala and Monte Carlo, was getting leggy in spots. Replanted a few cuttings to fill gaps. Tank's looking close to where I want it now, ngl pretty pleased.

Cardinal tetras are the highlight, schooling tight against the rotala and hardscape.

Cycle finally read safe so grabbed a small group of cardinal tetras from the LFS today. They settled into the hardscape almost immediately, colors already looking great under the WRGB. Really happy with this batch.

Cardinal tetras look really at home in there - how long did it take the rotala to fill back in after your last trim?
Took about a week and a half to bounce back honestly, new growth came in fast once I trimmed the leggy stems out. Good light helps a ton with rotala tbh.
Your cardinal tetras look so good against that green carpet, what's the carpet plant you're using up front?
did you get the bucephalandra and cardinals from a local shop or order online?
What are you dosing on this one and how often, tank looks stable enough that I'm guessing you've got a pretty locked in routine
Ngl nothing fancy, just Prime on water changes. No ferts routine locked in yet, Controsoil's still feeding the roots so haven't needed much else.
