Swapped the heater out for the Fluval E200 and of course the cord was too short for where the outlet is, so that was a whole thing rearranging the stand. Tank's looking close to full grown in now, plants coming along nicely around the stone. Just need the heater situated so I stop staring at the wire every time I walk by.

Added the betta today, a halfmoon, and honestly the whole tank feels different now. All that bare stone and empty water finally has something moving through it. He's already claimed a spot near the dragon stone and just hangs out there.

Still cycling, about two weeks in now. The stone looks pretty bare honestly and the few little plantlets I put in are melting back instead of growing. Hoping that's just them adjusting and not a sign of trouble, waiting it out is not my strong suit here.
