quiet week
Nothing really happened, just topped off and fed. Rock's mostly covered now between coralline and the coral growing out, tank's looking a lot fuller than it used to. No drama, no new additions, just an easy week for once.

Hair algae and some green spot took over the glass and a chunk of the rock this week, sand's got brown diatom patches too. Did an extra water change and dialed back feeding but it's not clearing up as fast as I want. Coralline is starting to show in patches at least so not all bad, just annoying to keep scraping glass every other day.
Added the ocellaris pair today and they went straight to hosting a random rock like it was made for them. Been going back and forth on names, thinking Nemo is too obvious so probably gonna land on something dumber. Really happy watching them already claim territory on day one.
Rock is looking pretty bare still, kind of just sitting there not doing much. No algae bloom yet which is almost weirder, expected more by now honestly. Waiting it out isn't really my strong suit with cycling, just checking params every few days and waiting for something to happen.
Got the water in and the Eheim running today, came back an hour later to a wet patch on the floor by the stand. Turned out one of the bulkhead fittings wasn't seated right, tightened it up and it's been dry since but gave me a mini heart attack. Water's hazy and the rock's still that fresh white with a bit of brown film on it, no fish or coral in yet, just letting it cycle.
Spent the afternoon stacking and restacking rock trying to get some kind of shape that isn't just a pile. Went with a slightly off center arch, leaving a gap for the wavemaker flow to punch through later. No water yet, just eyeballing angles and taking it way too seriously for dry rock on a stand.
