Replaced a sad little starter tank that never held a plant longer than a week. Dragon stone anchors the scape now, with vallisneria and java fern actually taking hold instead of melting away. Rummynose and CPDs school through the middle while a small army of bristlenose keep the glass honest.

Current State
Tank's looking pretty full these days, moss has finally filled out and the vallisneria is doing its tall grassy thing across the back. If I could go back I'd probably plant the hygrophila a bit thicker from the start since it took forever to bulk up. Still happy with how the dragon stone layout turned out even after all that fussing early on.

Controller Swap
Installed the inkbird temperature controller today and it turned into a bigger ordeal than it had any right to be, cords everywhere, probing around behind the tank trying not to knock anything loose. Finally got it wired in and set, so now at least the heater has some supervision instead of just doing its own thing.
Rummynose and CPDs in the same 75 is bold, curious if the rummynose ever bother the danios at feeding time or if it's all calm
Tank owner replied
All calm so far, rummynose stick to their own group and the CPDs do their own thing near the moss. Feeding time is more chaos from everyone being hungry than anyone actually bothering anyone else.
Dragon stone scape looks pretty solid. Is that stone raising your GH at all, or has it settled down since setup?
Tank owner replied
Haven't noticed any GH creep from it, tests have stayed pretty normal since setup. Maybe it's just a slow leacher, or maybe I'm not testing often enough to catch it.
How long has this one been running? The celestial pearl danios against the dragon stone look great, and biweekly changes with no CO2 sounds like a nice low stress setup.
Tank owner replied
Still relatively new, nothing crazy long yet. And yeah the biweekly changes with no CO2 have been pretty painless so far, low stress is exactly the vibe I was going for.
