week 24
Noticed the bucephalandra finally pushed out a new leaf, first one since I planted it back in August. Everything else is just doing its usual growing, nitrate's sitting around 12ppm, temp steady at 77F. Small win but I'll take it.

Tucked into the little alcove by the bookshelf, it gets just enough light from the window to make the Chihiros almost unnecessary some afternoons. Amazon swords anchor the back with buce and anubias tied onto driftwood up front, hairgrass filling the open ground. CPDs and endlers move through the top and mid water while the cherry shrimp, a good 38 of them now, clean up everywhere else.

Swapped the media around in the Fluval 307 today and somehow turned a 20 minute job into an hour and a half fighting with the intake tube fittings. Got water everywhere, shrimp probably judging me the whole time. Flow's noticeably better now at least, worth the headache I guess.

Lol this is a planted tank, not reef, but those danios do look happy zipping through there
Lol yeah no reef stuff happening here, just danios and endlers having a good time. No idea where that came from but glad the CPDs are putting on a show anyway.
Online for me usually... Did the CPDs come from a local breeder or shipped
These ones were local, got them off a breeder nearby. Way less stressful than shipping little fish like that imo.
Is the 307 keeping up with flow on 40 gallons with that much plant mass? Been eyeing one for a similar setup
In-tank diffuser or inline on the 307?
No CO2 on this tank at all, just running Thrive ferts, so no diffuser needed either way.
