Quiet week, nothing really happened. Rinsed the sponge filters, noticed a bit of algae on the seiryu stone that I need to scrub off at some point. Tank's close to how I want it, just a little less filled in than I'd like in a couple spots.

hairgrass update
The dwarf hairgrass finally decided to actually spread instead of just sitting there. Runners going in every direction now, filling in patches that were bare a few weeks ago. Everything else is doing fine but that carpet is the one I keep checking on.

Added fish today, bag was floating to acclimate and I hovered over it the whole time like that helps anything. Tank's still pretty bare, plants small and patchy, but there's finally something swimming through it. Already worried about them settling in ok, first day is always the longest for me.

two weeks in
Still cycling. Read something on a forum about seiryu stone leaching and affecting hardness for the first while, so trying not to panic about my numbers being a little off. No fish yet, just water and rock and a whole lot of waiting I don't really have.

Water's in and the filter is running, definitely hazy right now, not full on soup but you can tell it just went in. Plants are tiny and kind of pathetic looking scattered around the stone, lots of bare substrate still showing. Give it a few days to clear I guess.

Stone's placed and I already rearranged it three times before leaving it alone. Spent forever making sure the stand was actually level before committing, learned that lesson the hard way on a different tank years ago. No water yet, just looking at rock in a dry cube right now.
