coming along
moss has filled in most of the wood now, vals are tall enough to sway when the filter kicks on. danios school together more than i expected for how small the group is. still a bit of open sand up front but it's getting there.

just a low tech freshwater tank with sand and a chunk of malaysian driftwood taking up most of the space. celestial pearl danios move through the vals in a loose group, blue bolt shrimp pick through the java moss without much concern for anything else happening around them. cooling fan runs most of the summer to keep temps sane. it's been a steady one, no real drama, just sand, wood, and everybody doing their own thing in it.

work's been eating my whole week so the tank basically ran itself. topped off evaporation, glanced at the shrimp, that's about it. moss is filling in on its own at this point which is nice because i haven't touched it in ages. feels a little neglected honestly but everyone still looks fine.

Danios look tiny and perfect in there, how long did it take the moss to fill out like that
took a couple months to really fill in, was pretty sparse at first. just kept trimming the tops back and it thickened up from there.
Are the celestial pearl danios holding color ok in a 20? Mine always look washed out under brighter lights.
Fluval plant 3.0 over 20 gallons of freshwater seems like itd get patchy in the corners eventually, are your celestial pearl danios hanging out under the shadows or ignoring it completely
they mostly ignore the shaded spots, spend more time out in the open water column or hovering near the moss. haven't noticed them avoiding light at all, they're out and about most of the day.
How long has this celestial pearl danio tank been running? Looks real settled in
Celestial pearl danios and blue bolts together is a nice combo, any shrimp loss to the danios?
no losses that i can tell, shrimp population seems steady and i still see babies around. danios seem more interested in flake than hunting shrimp.
A whole year grown in and still that clean, kinda jealous lol. Do the CPDs breed in there or are they just chilling
