Carpet and buce are looking great honestly, but the christmas moss is looking rough, kind of patchy and brown in spots. Not sure if it's flow or light related yet.

Some green dust algae showing up on the spiderwood and glass. Thinking about adding more ramshorn snails, already have a few doing their thing on the leaves.

Water change plus a trim on the monte carlo took almost 2 hours, way longer than it should've. 25% change, gravel vac got into every corner this time.

Added the first chili rasboras today, 8 of them. Bag's floating right now. Already calling the biggest one Notch, has a little nick in his tail fin. Rest don't have names yet.

Ghost feeding a pinch daily to keep the cycle fed, also dumped in a bottle of bacteria starter day one. Ammonia reading 0.5ppm, nitrites climbing. No rush on fish yet.

Filled her today, dosed Prime at 2ml per 10 gallons for the full 40. Water's hazy from the sand, filter's running, plants are in but tiny still. No fish till this clears up.

Spiderwood is from a local guy who sells it by the pound, picked through like 15 pieces to find these two. Dry start looks good, ready for sand tomorrow.
