Two pieces of Malaysian driftwood set the whole layout before anything green went in, and the hairgrass and monte carlo grew in around them instead of the other way around. Moss has thickened up nicely on the wood. Cardinals and neons school through it, corys work the bottom, shrimp pick at the moss.

Hairgrass finally caught up and then some, it's basically a full carpet now instead of the patchy mess it was a couple months ago. Monte carlo is still going strong too, whole front half of the tank is just green now. Pretty close to how I pictured this thing when I dry started it.

Nothing really going on this week, just sat and watched the cardinals chase each other around the driftwood for like 20 minutes straight. Corys were doing their usual sand-sifting thing. Sometimes it's nice when there's nothing to do.
what are your params running lately? cardinals looking good against that hardscape, curious how stable the co2 has kept things.
Tank owner replied
No CO2 on this one actually, just the AI Prime and ferts doing the work. Params lately are ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate around 15-20ppm, pH 6.8, temp steady at 78F on the Fluval E200. Cardinals seem happy enough against the driftwood so I'll take it.
