went for a soft blackwater sort of look, spiderwood and low light, nothing too structured. otos graze the moss, endlers breeding away, crystal reds all over the wendtii. keeps itself pretty stable most weeks.
had someone message me saying it actually looks like a proper aquascape now rather than sticks in a box, which made me laugh cos that's exactly what i was worried about at setup. moss has filled out on the wood nicely and the wendtii's bushed up a bit. still a touch sparse in one corner but getting there.
hit a rough patch with algae, some green dust and a bit of hair algae creeping on the spiderwood. cut the photoperiod right down and did a proper blackout for a couple days, also dialled the light intensity back a notch after. seems to be settling, wood's looking a bit cleaner now but i'm keeping an eye on it.

5 gallons with pressurized CO2 seems like a lot to dial in for such a small volume, how often do you have to adjust it?
ah this ones actually not running co2, no pressurized setup on this tank. just relying on the light and ferts, keeping it low tech basically
Spiderwood in a 5 gallon with otos, that tannin tint must be pretty deep, what's staining it
5g with pressurized co2 and otos is a bold combo, did you hit an algae wall getting it dialed in?
nah no co2 on this tank so no algae dial in drama, been pretty low maintenance the whole way through
No CO2 mentioned but otos and endlers is a solid low tech mix, how's the crypt wendtii settling in

no co2 on this one, low tech setup, java moss and wendtii dont really need it so never bothered rigging anything up

no co2 injection here, its just running on light alone. otos seem happy grazing the spiderwood and glass, no issues
