Got some hair algae and green spot showing up on the glass and rocks - cut the photoperiod right down and did a blackout for a couple days. Plants look nearly full grown in now which is nice at least, just annoyed at the algae timing.

Picked up white clouds today, bag's floating up top acclimating now. Plants have filled in a fair bit since setup but still gaps in the carpet. Guy behind the counter tried to upsell me on a bigger heater, didn't need it.

cycling
Still cycling - nothing to report really, just waiting.

topped the tank up
Filter's running, water's hazy as expected - plants are tiny and sparse still, loads of bare sand showing. Also found a puddle by the stand this morning, gave me a mini heart attack until I realised it was just splash from filling, not a leak.

hardscape day
Got the seiryu stone placed - not sure about it yet. Keeps looking lopsided no matter how many times I shuffle it round. Left it as is, might regret that.
