Did a water change and a light trim on the hygrophila today. Found a ramshorn snail wedged inside the spiderwood, no idea how long it was hiding there. Moss is thickening up nicely, danios were hyped about the disturbance.

Added the first celestial pearl danios today, bag's floating on the surface right now. Tank feels completely different with something actually swimming in it, even just a few of them. Carpet's filling in some gaps but still got a ways to go.

Two weeks into cycling and nothing living in there yet, water's clear at least. Carpet is just little separate clumps right now, moss barely there. Checking params every couple days probably more than I need to. Wish I could just add fish already lol.

Filled it up today and started the sponge filters, water's a bit hazy still. Found a small puddle by the stand after an hour, turned out one of the filter lines wasn't seated right. Nothing major but my heart dropped for a second. Plants are in, tiny and sparse, lots of bare substrate showing.

Spent the afternoon rinsing spiderwood and the malaysian driftwood, water turned into actual tea. Rinsed it like four times and it still wasn't clear. Hardscape's in dry for now, no water yet, just looking at the layout deciding if I like it lol.
