Apistos have gotten bold, the male's been patrolling near the wood and chasing the pleco off when he gets too close. Shrimp mostly ignore all of it. Tank's looking close to how I pictured it, just filling in a bit more in the back corners.
Trimmed back the java fern that was shading the crypts and did a water change while I was at it. Water's a bit lower than normal mid-change, hose still hanging in there. Carpet's got a few bare patches still but the trim opened things up nicely.
Added the apistogramma cacatuoides today, a small group. Bag's still floating at the surface in the photo. Plants are pretty sparse still so they've got nowhere to hide but the moss, they'll settle in once things fill out more.
Still cycling, checking ammonia and nitrite, no fish yet.
Filled it and got the filter running, nothing living in there yet.
Spent the morning getting the stand level before touching the tank itself, one corner needed shimming. Hardscape is dry placed right now, no water in yet. Wanted the wood angles sorted before committing to anything.
