Colors are really popping this week.
Swapped the heater for a new one - simple job on paper, took me three tries to get the cord routing not look like a mess behind the stand.
Coralline finally creeping onto the bare spots - fixed a frag that kept sliding off its plug, just needed more glue. Small thing but it was bugging me.
Water change turned into a whole afternoon - meant to do 20 minutes, ended up scrubbing glass and chasing detritus for two hours. Worth it, tank looks sharper.
Royal gramma went in first, bag bobbing at the surface for a while. Little guy shot straight into a rock crevice and hasn't been seen since. Rude but understandable.
Ammonia and nitrite finally dropping - rock's got that thin brown film going on but numbers look right. Small win, I'll take it.
Filled her - filled it up, filter running, staring at empty water like something's supposed to happen. Nothing's supposed to happen yet. Still staring.
Rock's in, no water yet - my roommate walked by and asked if I was building a tiny mountain range. Fair.
