Not much happening, just did a filter rinse and moved on. Plants filling out slow but steady, no algae issues, no drama. Kind of a boring update honestly.

first fish
Added rummynose tetras today, 30 days in. Tank actually feels alive now instead of just a box of water. Watching them school around the driftwood, way more interesting than staring at empty water.

2 weeks in and it's just water and rocks and wood, no fish. Checking on it every day like something's gonna change overnight, nothing does. Plants aren't even growing that I can tell.

Water's in, filter running, a bit hazy still. Set the inkbird to 78F and just watching it hold steady so far. Plants look tiny and sad right now, barely anything in the substrate yet.

Got the driftwood placed today, no water in yet. Spent more on this malaysian driftwood than I want to say out loud, guy rang it up and I just nodded. Hauling it home in the car was its own workout, had it wrapped in towels in the trunk.
