Had a friend over and they said the tank actually looks like it's been here for years, not a few months. Plants have really filled in and it made me way more proud of this one than I expected.

Added the otos today and now I'm stuck trying to name them, which feels ridiculous for fish this small. Bag's acclimating at the top still. Carpet is starting to fill some gaps at least, so the timing feels right.

Still cycling, still no fish, and I keep staring through the glass like something's going to happen if I look hard enough. Plants are tiny and the substrate is basically all I see right now. Just want to add something already.

Got the wood and rock home today, no water yet. Forgot how heavy a bag of stone actually is, my arms are done. Dry layout is in and I'm happy with it before it all gets hidden by plants.
