Brightwell Aquatics Xport-BIO Freshwater 1/2-inch Cubes are ultra-porous biological filtration media for use in all soft or hard freshwater or brackish aquariums, and may also be used in marine systems. Utilizing NanoIntelex Technology, the cubes provide vast aerobic and anaerobic surface area for efficient bacterial colonization, reducing toxic ammonia and nitrites to near zero while also reducing phosphate and dissolved organics. Made in the USA; must be seeded with bacteria to begin nitrification.
