The Sicce Water Care Akuaclear combination resin is a composite filter media of activated carbon and zeolite in proportions tailored to the higher biological load of aquariums. The zeolite acts as a natural microporous molecular sieve that binds ammonia and nitrogenous pollutants via ion exchange, while the carbon removes organic pollutants, medications, chemicals, colors, and odors; both also provide substrate for nitrifying bacteria. It clears water without altering pH or leaching phosphates, is harmless to all aquarium inhabitants, is suitable for fresh, salt, and reef tanks, and includes a mesh net bag; regular water testing determines the replacement schedule.
