NP-Bacto Pellets - Biodegradable Filter Media
Tropic Marin NP-Bacto Pellets are a biodegradable filter media made from natural biopolymers for use in pellet reactors or fluidized bed filters, designed for the biological removal of nitrate and phosphate. They promote colonization of nitrate- and phosphate-removing bacteria; the resulting nutrient-rich biomass either feeds corals and filter feeders or is skimmed out. Start with 50 mL per 100L (26 gallons), do not exceed 200 mL per 100L, and top up monthly as the media degrades; a protein skimmer is recommended for nutrient and gas exchange.
