Nano-Tech Bio-Cubelets
Maxspect Nano-Tech Bio-Cubelets are inert ceramic biological filter media using stabilized microbial Biological Aerated Filter (W-BAF) technology adapted from wastewater treatment, with each cubelet offering up to 15 m² (161 ft²) of surface area for bacterial colonization. The ultra-porous structure supports dense biofilms of nitrifying bacteria that remove ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, making them a compact, non-decomposing alternative to live rock for sumps, filters, and reactors in fresh and marine aquariums.
