Iod Iodine
Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Iodine is a Lugol's solution for saltwater aquaria; contains iodine in its most effective form, as elementary I2. Iodine is an essential trace element for sea dwellers — a component of the thyroid hormone preventing goitre, essential for hardening crustacean chitinous shells; improves adaptation to light and coloring of anthozoa, especially hard corals. Add one drop per 200 L daily in circulation flow (max 1 drop per 100 L daily for heavily populated aquaria); skip missed days rather than making up doses.
