Maxspect Nano-Tech Far Infrared Bio-Spheres are a 2kg inert ceramic biological filter media fire-cured above 2300°F for strength and long life, made with tourmaline, maifanitum, actinolite, and volcanic rock minerals. The tourmaline releases far-infrared wavelengths (4–12 μm) that aid water clarity and odor reduction and a weak 0.06mA current that helps break down chlorine in tap water; recommended for freshwater aquariums only.
