The Whitecheek Tang (Acanthurus nigricans), also called the Gold-rimmed Surgeonfish, is a striking reef-safe tang with a dark body, a white cheek patch, and yellow-rimmed fins. An active herbivore that grazes on algae, it needs a large, mature aquarium of about 500 liters and can be semi-aggressive toward similar tangs.
