Wheeler's Shrimp Goby, also known as Wheeler's Prawn, Gorgeous, or Wheeler's Goby, was first discovered in Indonesia in 1982 by Hoese and Randall; it has a white body with broad orange-red bands and tiny blue spots, and the dorsal fin has red and blue dots. It should be kept in a 10 gallon or larger aquarium with a sand-covered bottom for burrowing; it prefers peaceful tankmates and plenty of hiding places; small groups or pairs do better but must be introduced simultaneously; fairly hardy and highly disease resistant, it has been known to spawn in an aquarium; feed a variety of fresh or frozen seafood, brine shrimp, and mysis shrimp twice per day.
