The Stocky Anthias is slightly broader and shorter in build; males show an orange back, yellow lines, and a cream-colored underside. Like all anthias it is hermaphroditic and does best with its own species in at least a 473-liter tank with several hiding places, dwelling in the middle of the tank; once acclimated, feed frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp, and flake foods in small quantities throughout the day.
