The Splendid Garden Eel (Gorgasia preclara) has a long slender body with beautiful shades of orange, yellow, and white, and spends nearly its entire life buried in the sand with only its upper body exposed. It is advanced-care, needs a minimum 475-liter tank with at least 15–20 cm of fine sand for permanent burrows, frequent zooplankton feedings, and is best kept in groups for natural colony behavior.
