The Saddleback Butterflyfish (Chaetodon ephippium) is a distinctive butterflyfish recognized by the large black saddle marking with a white border across its upper rear body, plus orange highlights on a silver-gray body. It needs a minimum 475-liter fish-only tank with open swimming space, moderate care, and a varied protein-rich diet, and is not reef-safe since it feeds on SPS, LPS, and soft corals.
