The Red Saddled Anthias is a jewel of the deep prized for striking multiple pink and yellow colorations, active nature, great personality, and disinterest in corals, sessile invertebrates, and dissimilar fishes. Collected from up to 30 meters deep, it prefers low to moderate lighting initially and can be difficult to acclimate; introduce before more active, territorial fishes, keep singly or best in small shoals, and feed frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp, and flake foods in small quantities throughout the day.
