The Red Fairy Anthias, also known as the Tricolor Anthias, Red Fairy Basslet, Silver Streak, or Kashiwae Anthias, is moderately easy to keep; males are distinguished by a well-developed lateral red bar and red caudal fin, while females have only red tips on the caudal fin and a pinkish-orange body. It can be kept with other anthias varieties like the Lyretail, Squarespot, and Purple Queen; a 473-liter tank is best for a group with plenty of swimming room, and feed frozen mysis, enriched brine shrimp, and flake foods in small quantities throughout the day.
