Randall's Assessor Basslet displays beautiful overall blue coloration with red accents in its fins as it matures and a dusky purple hue, and is well suited to reef aquariums. It is shy, cryptic, and reclusive when first introduced, becoming bolder with proper aquascaping offering nooks and crannies, and swims inverted or upside down like other basslets; keep a single individual in at least a 115-liter tank with plenty of rock caves, and as a carnivore feed chopped fish, squid, mysis, and enriched brine shrimp at least twice daily.
