The Orangethroat Pikeblenny has an elongated eel-like body with a tapered snout and a long slit-like mouth extending behind its eyes; males show a vivid orange throat stripe against a dark espresso brown body and a sail-like dorsal fin used in courtship displays. It inhabits empty worm tubes in the wild, so provide small tubes and a rubble-zone setup, and feed meaty foods like mysis and enriched brine shrimp.
