Sphaeramia nematoptera
Add from My tanks →1 photos
The ORA Pajama Cardinal (Sphaeramia nematoptera) is one of the most popular marine aquarium fish — ORA was the first hatchery to successfully commercially breed this colorful cardinal; generally docile, it is a great fish for reef tanks, swimming freely in full view. It needs at least a 20-gallon tank with live rock for hiding, moderate water movement, and standard marine parameters; as a carnivore it eats frozen brine shrimp, krill, mysid shrimp, high-quality pellets, and marine-specific flake food daily, can be kept in pairs or groups added at the same time, and is reef safe with soft, LPS, or SPS coral.
