The Mimic Lemon Peel Tang (Acanthurus pyroferus), also called the Mimic or Chocolate Surgeonfish, undergoes a remarkable transformation: juveniles mimic the bright yellow Lemonpeel Angelfish as a defense mechanism, while adults turn chocolate brown with green-toned fins. It is an excellent algae grazer, semi-aggressive toward other tangs, and needs a minimum 490-liter tank with open swimming space, moderate care, and an herbivorous diet.
