The Melon Butterflyfish (Chaetodon trifasciatus), also called the Indian Redfin or Pinstriped Butterflyfish, is a striking butterflyfish with soft lavender-purple coloration, fine diagonal violet stripes, and a melon-orange anal fin. An expert-only corallivore, it is not reef-safe since it feeds on coral polyps, and needs a minimum 475-liter fish-only tank, advanced care, and frequent varied feedings.
