McCosker's Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus mccoskeri) is famous for the male's dramatic flashing displays of bright red, orange, and blue coloration used in courtship and social interaction; it is native to Indo-Pacific reef slopes and lagoons where it actively swims in the water column. It is peaceful, highly active, and fully reef safe; keep at least a 120-150L+ tank with a secure lid since it is a strong jumper, open swimming space with live rock for shelter — best in peaceful mature reef aquariums — and feed zooplankton, mysis and brine shrimp, frozen foods, and high-quality marine pellets in frequent small feedings; harems of one male plus females work in larger tanks.
