The Longnose Batfish, also called the Walking Batfish, has a horizontally flattened mottled reddish-brown to dark tan body and uses strong pectoral and pelvic fins as hands and feet to creep along the sea floor. It lures prey with a moveable antennae-like lure on its nose and sucks in unsuspecting small fish; needs a minimum 265-liter tank with sand/gravel/mud substrate and dim lighting, and should be fed crustaceans, polychaete worms, and small fish, enticing it with live saltwater feeder shrimp at first.
