The Lightning Maroon Clownfish has extraordinary one-of-a-kind lightning bolt-like patterns — no two individuals alike — that intensify, darken, and may change as they mature; maroon clowns are known for intense coloration, oversized fins, and confident disposition, and an adult with fully mature coloration is a remarkable centerpiece fish. Maroon Clownfish are the most territorial of all clownfish species; captive-bred ones are hardy and good candidates for a reef aquarium but are very sensitive to copper (never above 0.15) — when pairing, a dramatic size difference is best, and do not move them with a net since cheek spines entangle; feed meaty items such as frozen shrimp and herbivore preparations.
